We are committed to delivering Encompass® innovation that allows you to further customize, automate and extend your workflow. A recent MarketWise study found that lenders who use the latest Encompass APIs improve loan profit potential by an average of $149 per loan. In order for us to continue to enhance our modern, flexible APIs, we will be transitioning clients and partners off of our legacy integrations, including Encompass Software Development Kit (SDK) integrations on October 31, 2025.
We encourage you to begin planning your transition to our Encompass Developer Connect™ and Encompass Partner Connect™ APIs now to further streamline your integrations by October 31, 2025.

- Encompass SDKs (Software Development Kit)
- Legacy service ordering integrations including:
- ICE Mortgage Technology Partner Network (Formerly the Ellie Mae Network or EMN)
- PSDK (Partner Software Developer Kit)
- ePass
- Total Quality Loan® (TQL®) Services
- Transitioning now will enable you to reduce the number of integrations you maintain and allow you to use the latest technology.
- In many cases, you may be able to eliminate some SDK integrations completely (where obsolete or where Encompass-native functionality meets similar needs).
- This is a great opportunity to modernize and streamline your tech stack for efficiency, time and money savings.
- Standalone SDK Modules (transition to Developer Connect APIs)
- SDK Loan Plugins (Migrate to SSF framework and NG Plugin framework)
Custom forms are not included in the SDK transition. Custom forms with custom code bases will continue to work in Smart Client post sunset, but if similar functionality is needed for your web users, you should plan to transition them to SSF framework for web users.
No, this is not a transition to the web. The web and desktop are different ways of accessing the same files. New features being released continue to be interoperable between desktop and web
No - the date to transition off of the Encompass SDK is October 31, 2025. However, anyone needing access to the SDK after October 31, 2025 can continue to access the SDK at no charge from November 1, 2025 - April 30, 2026 (with a nominal monthly charge starting May 1, 2026). To continue to access the SDK, you’ll need to request transitional access from your ICE Account Manager between now and October. A sunset date for transitional SDK access will be set in partnership with our clients and partners based on the industry successfully transitioning to an API-first infrastructure.
If you don’t request transitional access to the SDK, applications and plug-ins that rely on the SDK will no longer work properly. To avoid disruption, please request transitional access to the SDK before October 2025.
Native Encompass features replace the need for many plugins. Below are common plugins and the corresponding features available in Encompass.
